The U.S. Senate Committee has jurisdiction over banking, economic policy, and financial institutions?
This is what the site says … So why not the President, Christopher Dodd, was above all this??? You can not tell me it is just as shocked the rest of us. I find it inconceivable that blame Bush. There is nothing more than partisan politics and the way I see it is the fault of this guy. It is his position as chairman of the committee. It's the same guy who has been exposed for obtaining two generous mortgage contracts with a company that is the poster child for corporate-collapse of the national subprime, Countrywide. Must not be disposed such on his ear and someone put in there with some ethics or at least someone who would not have kept the lid on lenders being wild-like Dodd did? There is a darn good reason Congress is like at least in the history of the nation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki / Fair Countrywide_financial_political_loan_scandal incredible!
I do not think any of the committee, because everyone takes care of the heavy sum for the bank. There are just too many people under their supervision, as they charge top or bottom of our economy.
